Guess who got a traffic ticket today?

I got my first driving offence this afternoon somewhere in Mandaue City, Cebu =(. The traffic enforcer though was quite amused at my ‘pink paper’ Dutch Drivers license.

Sadly, I have become a stranger in my home city but for the record though, the last time I was a resident of Cebu was during the first half of 1992, the second half of that year I moved to Manila. That’s like 18 years ago! Thus every time I come to visit, navigating the roads always pose as a challenge to me. There are new roads, new buildings, some of the landmarks are gone, new traffic rules, as well as there are barely any traffic signs here so in a way you can easily get confused and intimidated—with the chaos plus the lack of signs, they surely got me. ARGHHH!!!

This is an irony when we all know that traffic rules in the Philippines are disregarded. What are the chances? SIGH.
